Pathways To Net Zero 2 Day Course & Mentoring Package
Groundwork have partnered with the UK’s leading environment and sustainability professionals organisation the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) to bring a fully funded £2,000 training and mentoring package for eligible Cheshire West and Chester Businesses.

19-20 November 2024 | Meridian House, Winsford
All dates operate 9:30am to 4:30pm
What is included
- Two Day IEMA Pathways to Net Zero Accredited training course delivered in person at locations including Chester, Winsford and Ellesmere Port.
- On-site support visit from a low carbon / net-zero specialist to help you put the learning into practice.
- On-going webinars, email and telephone support for your business to create your own net-zero action plan and strategy.
- Access to template documents to enable your business to carry out a low carbon audit and create your net-zero / low carbon action and strategy.
- Free access until the 31st March to Groundwork’s Sustainable Business Membership scheme with options for your company’s work on sustainability to be recognised through award of a bronze, silver or gold membership.
What is expected
- As a minimum all delegates will be required to attend the two day in person training course and produce by the end of February 2025 a low carbon / net-zero action plan for the business.
- Onsite support, webinars and sustainable business membership is encouraged however not mandatory, and is provided to further enhance the learning opportunities for the course delegate.
- All delegates will be required and expected to produce a net-zero action plan for their business as part of the funded support.
Your business must be based within the Cheshire West & Chester Council local authority area to be able to attend this event.
Our Cheshire West & Chester project will:
Provide grant support to businesses demonstrating their commitment to decarbonising
Provide funded support for companies on energy efficiency and net zero
Investigate and identify low or zero carbon opportunities with energy audits (For large consumers of energy)
